interview report

Choice of location: I'm try to in to the library to find some interviewees, because my interviewee is a Saudi Arabia person, In my University have many Saudi Arabia people, I believe they will learning in the library, I use the practice proved that I was right. In second floor I found a Saudi Arabia person he's name is Mohammed, he was willing to be interviewed. My first interview will began.

If you interviewing an international student first challenge is have different language because we came from different country. Some interviewees are first time be interviewed make him to relaxed is also a big challenge. Polite friendliness is very important, I learned a lot of things from this interview.

Acquired knowledge: I learned more about the country for Saudi Arabia, my interviewee Very patiently explained to me his country and himself. I can't wrote all of taking about things, so I just wrote down some simple sentences and main content. Mohammed came from Saudi Arabia beautiful city—— Jeddah. That is a city located on the coast of the Red Sea and is the major urban center of western Saudi Arabia. 1)" It is the largest city in Makkah Province, the largest sea port on the Red Sea, and the second largest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital city, Riyadh. With a population currently at 3.2 million, Jeddah is an important commercial hub in Saudi Arabia. Jeddah is the principal gateway to Mecca, Islam's holiest city, which able-bodied Muslims are required to visit at least once in their lifetime. It is also a gateway to Medina, the second holiest place in Islam."

Saudi Arabia has a long history of national, they are National day and Eid al-Adha day are very important. This is a perennial hot climate characteristics of the country. In Saudi Arabia they don't have winter and snow, Mohammed very love soccer and surfing, because Jeddah is a coastal city. Saudi Arabia people for religion very persistent, they will strictly abide by their own religious rules, such as didn't eat lunch, didn't drinking alcohol.

Saudi Arabia is a mysterious and open country, because this interview I will learn more about this country. If I have chance I will go to this country one more time.

country report

About this country 1) "Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab state in Western Asia by land area, constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula, and the second-largest in the Arab world (after Algeria). It is bordered by Jordan, and Iraq on the north and northeast, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates on the east, Oman on the southeast, and Yemen on the south. The Red Sea lies to its west, and the Persian Gulf lies to the east. Saudi Arabia has an area of approximately 2,250,000 km2 (870,000 sq mi), and it has an estimated population of 27 million, of which 9 million are registered foreign expatriates and an estimated 2 million are illegal immigrants. Saudi nationals comprise an estimated 16 million people."

Saudi Arabia is a Resource-rich country, The most prominent of the resource is oil. 2)Saudi Arabia has been a central pillar of the Arab world for decades. Its vast oil supplies, close ties to the United States and cash-heavy diplomacy assured its position from the years of the cold war until a wave of unrest broke in Tunisia in January 2011 and swept across the region.

In the wake of the tumult, the Saudi ruling family has had to reassess a very different world. King Abdullah began wielding his checkbook right after leaders in Tunisia and Egypt fell, seeking to placate the public and reward a loyal religious establishment. The king’s reserves, swollen by more than $214 billion in oil revenue in 2011, have insulated the royal family from widespread demands for change even while some discontent simmers.

Yet while the Saudis bought at least temporary social peace via their $130 billion public welfare program, the government is challenged by uprisings throughout the region and particularly by a belligerant Iran.
The United States has had a political alliance with the Saudi leadership that has lasted for decades, one that has become even more pivotal to Washington during the turmoil of the Arab spring and rising hostilities with Iran over that nation’s nuclear program. (Saudi Arabia and Iran are bitter regional rivals.)"

Challenges and benefits of interviewing an international student

Interviewing an international student it will make me challenges and benefits.  We know there are a lot of differences between countries no matter culture or history. We through the interview others get other countries more information that can bring us many challenges and benefits.

If you interviewing an international student first challenge is have different language because we came from different country. Some interviewees are first time be interviewed make him to relaxed is also a big challenge. Found a right one person is very important because sometimes interviewee maybe doesn’t have time.  We need Clear use common language for interview that for your spoken English is a great challenge.  1) “Polite friendliness: Be likable, but not overly intimate or personal. How many times have you witnessed an American ask someone "how are you?" only to walk away before that person even has the chance to respond? This is because we like the idea of being pleasant, but do not have the time or the desire to go too in-depth with our personal stories.” This is the beginning of an interview. Before the interview we don’t know other countries culture or history so we should avoid some sensitive topic.

Although interviewing an international student have many challenges, but also can give me some benefits. Such as know different countries culture, improve my communication skills, meet new person from different country, learn about their manners etc. Understanding the different national culture is very important to us and through the interview we can learn different countries culture. If you we  interviewing an international student we need use English however the English is not our first language so make the interviewing can help us improve communication skills. In the interview process we find that we can learn is not only the culture and we can learn a lot of things, such as this country’s food, education system, country’s environment and so on. This interviewing can give us too many benefits.

No matter challenges and benefits in interviewing an international student that all of learning experience, dare to try is the most important.

three countries

I have three favorite countries such as Italian, Saudi Arabia and Greece. This three countries represents passion, beliefs and myth. In my university have many different countries students, so if I want know different counties that is a easy thing. From the book I found some interesting things about those three countries.
Why I love Italian? Because Italian soccer is my favorite. When I was young I like Italian soccer, Italian soccer let me know sports passion, This is one of my yearning countries. "Soccer in Italy is more than just a game, its a passion. (If youre thinking that Italians treat everything with passion – from food to wine to cars to fashion – youre right. Its one of Italys charms. Really.) People are fiercely loyal to their local soccer club, and that loyalty is only put on hold when the Italian national team is playing. For sports fans, seeing a soccer game in Italy is an important part of getting to know the culture; and even for people who are only marginally interested in soccer, it can be a great experience."(1). If I have the opportunity, I will have to go to an Italian.
Second, I want talk about Saudi Arabia, because they adhere to the faith, I'm very admire. We know all Saudi Arabian are Islamic believers and Them to comply with religious rules strictly cautious. "During the holy month of Ramadan all Muslims must fast from dawn to dusk and are only permitted to work six hours per day. Fasting includes no eating, drinking, cigarette smoking, or gum chewing. Expatriates are not required to fast; however, they must not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum in public.Each night at sunset, families and friends gather together to celebrate the breaking of the fast (iftar). The festivities often continue well into the night. In general, things happen more slowly during Ramadan. Many businesses operate on a reduced schedule. Shops may be open and closed at unusual times."(2). In my country we don't have any faith, I think this is a very bad thing.
Final, I want introduction why I love Greece. In simple terms is Greek mythology deeply attracted me. No matter books or movies, as long as it is about Greek mythology, I like it very much. "At the center of Greek mythology is the pantheon of deities who were said to live on Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece. From their perch, they ruled every aspect of human life. Olympian gods and goddesses looked like men and women (though they could change themselves into animals and other things) and were--as many myths recounted--vulnerable to human foibles and passions. The twelve main Olympians are:
Zeus (Jupiter, in Roman mythology): the king of all the gods (and father to many) and god of weather, law and fate
Hera (Juno): the queen of the gods and goddess of women and marriage
Aphrodite (Venus): goddess of beauty and love
Apollo (Apollo): god of prophesy, music and poetry and knowledge
Ares (Mars): god of war
Artemis (Diana): goddess of hunting, animals and childbirth
Athena (Minerva): goddess of wisdom and defense
Demeter (Ceres): goddess of agriculture and grain"(3).
A beautiful myth countries makes me revel. Although myth does not exist, but this beautiful country equally people yearning.

This three countries all very great, Although I have not been to those three countries but from the books I can know they are interesting. One day in the future, I will go to this three counties and feel the real elegant demeanour.
